Together We Worship | Titus O'Bryant

 • Titus O'Bryant • Series: Together

Worshiping Jesus together radically re-orients our lives around the person of Jesus. When we gather as a church, we experience a unique opportunity to realize and celebrate who God is and what he has done as well as encourage one another to one another to be changed into the people God calls us to become. This weekend, we’re asking God to reveal himself to us and shape us into the individuals and the community that he has made us to be. DISCUSSION QUESTIONS 1. Read Hebrews 10:19-25. Identify each action accomplished by Jesus or attributed to God in this passage. 2. Identify each action that God’s people are called to perform. How are these commands dependent on the action of Jesus, God the Father, or God the Holy Spirit? What, if any, tension do you feel when you remember that Christianity is essentially composed of what God has done for us not what we do for God? 3. What did you hear this weekend that inspired you, challenged you, or sparked disagreement or further consideration? 4. What is your response to the idea that everyone tends to be self-centered? How have you experienced this or what causes you to question this premise? 5. How does worshiping Jesus re-orient our life from revolving our own interests to revolving around Jesus? 6. Growing out of a “consumer” mindset into a “contributor” mindset is a lifelong process. How could you take a tangible step toward being a contributor rather than a consumer in your everyday life, in your connection with your church, and in your relationship with God?
