A Life of Faith | Titus O'Bryant

 • Titus O'Bryant • Series: Abraham & Sarah: A Journey of Faith

What does a life of following God really look like? The portrait of Abraham and Sarah in Genesis provides the earliest and most complete picture of a life of trusting God and his promises. This weekend, we begin inspecting the surprising twists and turns in the life of faith. DISCUSSION QUESTIONS: 1. Read Gensis 14:14-24. If possible, read all of Genesis chapters 13 and 14 for an overview of the events in Abram’s life at this moment. 2. What are a few key observations you can make about Abram through this passage? 3. Abram could have taken possession of land, possessions, people, or spoils of war and set up a little kingdom after his military victory. Instead, Abram returned the people and property and gave an offering to the king of Salem, what might have motivated these actions? What might you have done in his place? 4. What did you hear this weekend that inspired you, challenged you, or sparked disagreement or further consideration? 5. How are you or how could you demonstrate your faith in God by the way you manage your possessions, money, and relationships? 6. How is God calling on you to trust him in your life of faith right now? Is there an additional step that you find challenging or feel compelled to consider?
