Our Daily Bread | Titus O'Bryant

 • Titus O'Bryant • Series: The Lord's Prayer

Have you ever struggled with anxiety for today or worry about your future? What difference would it make if you could actively and daily trust God to meet your needs every moment of every day? Together, we’re learning what it looks like to depend on our God, asking “Give us today our daily bread.” DISCUSSION QUESTIONS 1. What do you think about the differences and similarities between expressing dependence on God for “daily bread” in the first century world, in the developing world today, and for you? 2. What did you hear this weekend that inspired you, challenged you, or sparked disagreement or further consideration? 3. How has the Lord demonstrated his care for you and faithfulness by providing for you in the past? How do those experiences influence your faith, relationship with God, and perspective on life? 4. What are you depending on God for and how are you expressing your dependence on him? 5. Read Jesus’ teaching from Matthew 6:25-34. Why does Jesus say we can live free from worry? 6. What do you worry about? How can you cultivate a practice of dependence on God and offer your worries, cares, and anxieties to him? Consider writing a short prayer you can offer to the Lord when you’re feeling worried.
